Keegan Phillip Allen was born on July 22, 1987, in California, to Jewish parents Phillip R. Allen and Joan Snyder Allen. Both of his parents had careers in the fun industry that fundamentally influenced Keegan. Her father was a stage, movie and television actor. His career spanned four decades, from 1965 to 2009. Phillip’s most recognized role came in Star Trek III: The Search for Spock (1984) where he portrayed Captain Esteban. Sadly, Keegan’s father passed away on March 1, 2012.

Can you think of any moments where either of you broke on set or ad-libbed any scenes, improvised, anything enjoy that?
Yeah, tons. We're loose cannons. Whenever I work with Jared, I intend, we have ... There's a scene coming up where I'm eating breakfast tacos, and we just get competitive, and it's just ridiculous. There's no reason to undertake these things, but we are just competitive and ate like 16 tacos in a accept . It was nuts. It will probably never see the light of morning, but lots of improvisation, always follows very closely to Anna Fricke, Seamus [Kevin Fahey], Steve Robin — obeying very closely to the lords of this show and the writers and the directors and their visions. It's wonderful because once there is that collaboration, the artistic collaboration of the show is just so, so wide-ranging. We can color outside the lines very, very easily because of how much freedom we have within our character's range. Lots of that has been happening, and it's very freeing as an player to have that.
