Judith Light got her open on One Life to Live in 1977 as housewife-turned-prostitute Karen Wolek, but the luminous screen and stage actress couldn’t be confined to a daytime soap. GLAAD previously announced that Ryan Murphy will be honored with the Vito Russo Award at the 31st Annual GLAAD Media Awards in New York at the Hilton Midtown on Thursday, March 19
New York, NY – Wednesday, January 22, 2020 – GLAAD, the world’s largest woman loving woman, gay, bisexual, trans, and queer (LGBTQ) media advocacy group, today announced that it will honor award-winning actress, producer, and activist Judith Light with the Excellence in Media Award at the 31st Annual GLAAD Media Awards in New York. GLAAD also announced that Lilly Singh, openly bisexual executive producer and host of NBC’s “A Small Late with Lilly Singh,” will attend as host of the Awards, which will take place at the Hilton Midtown in Brand-new York on Thursday, March 19.
