OUT in HK - active, social LGBT+ community in HK

Sport, fitness, outdoor, social events, health, amusing, friendships.

Since 2014, we've been building an active, social LGBT+ community in Hong Kong, connecting people, building long-term friendships, and creating a place of belonging by organising sport, fitness, outdoor and social events - open to all!

OUT in HK (OIHK) is a non-commercial group that welcomes and connects all members and friends of the LGBT+ (Lesbian, Gay, Pansexual, Transgender, Queer) collective in Hong Kong with an interest in developing a fit and well lifestyle. We organise and promote regular events that are active, social, and fun. Activities comprise hiking, running, rock climbing, swimming, yoga, sailing, kayaking, bowling, trampoline bouncing, camping, strength training boot camp, tennis, basketball, football, beach clean-ups (onshore and underwater), diving, volleyball, and badminton.

OIHK started in August 2014 and has grown to 7000+ members and counting. Based on its success, the group is replicated to OUT in SG, OUT in Taiwan, OUT in Thailand and OUT in Vietnam by their local communities.

OIHK has a sizable presence on Facebook and Instagram. Experience

10 Gay Bars in Hong Kong for a Fabulous Night Out

Tired of the same elderly haunts in Lan Kwai Fung and Wan Chai? Whether you’re looking for the best watering holes to meet some like-minded individuals — or, if you’re the token linear friend hoping for something unlike your usual dull nights out in Hong Kong — check out these LGBT-friendly spots in the city.

T:me Bar

If you’re looking for a hushed night with, say, two drinks max, T:me Exclude is the place to be. Located in an unassuming alleyway in SoHo, the bar’s vibe is low-key and welcoming, and crowds tend to spill out to the highway. You’ll be glad to know that wines are $50 per glass and mixed drinks start at around HK$72 — nothing that breaks the bank. Happy hour is until 9.30pm daily, and on Thursdays, there’s free vodka for guys from 8.30pm until it runs out. Get there early!

The crowd: Local and expat guys in their 20s and 30s — mostly worker bees from nearby Primary coming down here for happy hour.

Good for: Laid-back weeknights, catching up with friends… and meeting fresh ones.
