Gay olympic gymnast

Who's gay in gymnastics?

It's gentle to see that Paul Ruggeri's out and about. Eddie Penev's gay. I don't know how unclosed he is about it, but he's not going out if his way to hide it. He follows a lot of gay Instahos. I reflect he's cute, and yeah, he's quite the jet setter. Gymnasts get to travel a lot. I bet he's had tons of fun.

I'm in adoration with Jake Dalton. He's so earnest and wholesome, and honestly, I notice no vanity from him whatsoever. He's beautiful, and I'm sure he's alert of it, but I never feel like he's flaunting it. I was sad when they moved. He left his really good friend Steven Legendre. They've gone through so much together in college and at different gymnastics competitions. But it's friendly that he's out west. He's closer to his family and will be taking over their gymnastics gym, so he's moving into that next stage of a gymnast's life.

I wonder how many more competitions Jake has in him. He doesn't undertake all around and specializes in floor and vault, but is he aiming for Tokyo? It seems like this class of gymnasts are about to graduate and a brand-new class are going to come in. Akash Modi and Yul Moldauer glance like the new bloods. Danell Leyva seems adorable interested in act

I’m Gay: Chilean Olympic Gymnast Tomás González Comes Out In New Autobiography

Chilean Olympic gymnast Tomás González has come out in his recently released autobiography titled Champion: Lessons, Triumphs, and Falls of an Olympic Gymnast.

Talking about coming out with Chilean newspaper La Tercera, González, 36, said, “I suppose it’s no longer an issue. But yes, I’m gay.”

He added, “If it’s about making it public, I prefer to undertake it in this book.”

Realised He Was Gay When He Was 24

González said he realised he was homosexual when he was 24 years ancient, while living with his conservative family.

“I cried a lot those days. I was in the process of coming to terms with being homosexual and I felt that a part of me was dying too,” he said.

According to Outsports, in the book González talks about the emotional and homophobic abuse he was subjected to while training. He recalled the time his coach called him a “faggot” in a 2007 rivalry after he fell.

He explained, “I was willing to sacrifice my mental health in order to get to the Olympic Games.”

Olympic Turning Point

After the 2012 Olympic Games in London, he realised he could dwell in the closet any longer.

SAN JOSE (KCBS) - If Josh Dixon makes the chop at the US Olympic team trials in San Jose on Thursday, he could also produce history as the first openly homosexual male gymnast to compete at the Olympics.

Dixon has been dreaming of going to the Olympics since he first started copying his sisters' moves, at age 6 or 7.

"I was trying stuff in the backyard, and I don't know, I just fell in love with gymnastics as a sport," he said.

KCBS' Doug Sovern Reports:

A Willow Glen High University graduate who became an NCAA champion at Stanford University, Dixon said he hopes to construct headlines with his performance rather than his sexuality when he competes for a spot on Team USA in London this summer.

"I'm focusing on the gymnastics. I could care less about anything else," Dixon said.

There were 10 openly gay athletes at the 2008 Olympics, but there's never been a gymnast who came out before competing. Dixon decided to come out when a teammate told him he could become a role model for other gay athletes.

"It's OK to be yourself and do what you do and the world won't judge you for it," Dixon said.

The 22-year-old said some young gay athletes have hailed him as a role model, but overall the reacti

Alex Renkert, a world medal winning trampoline and tumbling gymnast from the U.S. who is queer, is taking this year off from competing and switching his focus to wedding planning with his fiance.

Renkert and Blake Carter, an Ohio public defender, were engaged last October after digital dating for five years, and the proposal caught Renkert off guard, he told USA Gymnastics.

“It was completely unexpected,” Renkert said. “We were walking around the park before we were going to go to our anniversary dinner. He stopped me and got down on one knee [with] a Ring Pop.”

Renkert has won eight medals at trampoline and tumbling world championships and is the reigning silver medalist in the World Games double mini. He says he is debating whether to compete again but stays involved with USA Gymnastics as vice chair of the organization’s Athletes’ Council, where he advocate for the rights of gymnasts.

A big part of his advocacy is helping other LGBTQ gymnasts thrive. As told by USA Gymnastics:
