By championing equity and representation, we aim to make an open and compassionate community where people are empowered to thrive. No matter who they are.

For more than 20 years, we’ve marched in rainbow-clad celebration of the spectrum of admire and life. What started as a promenade became a parade and then a full Celebration Month. And we now host year-round events to boost, support, and commemorate the diverse voices of the LGBTQIA+ community – including the Black, Brown, and Trans voices that too often go unheard.

As queer woman travel bloggers, it is our life’s goal to locate the gayest places to party, commute, and live. St. Pete is one of those places that immediately skyrockets to the highest of the list. We’ve traveled to places like, and felt right at home with a welcoming community, and St. Pete is no different. I’m here to stroll you through this Gay St Pete Florida: Epic Move Itinerary so you can enjoy this city and sustain all the inclusive local businesses that work hard to create a harmless space for all.

It’s hard to pinpoint the best part of St. Pete, it’s close to the beach, it has an titanic downtown, tons of local LGBTQ bars, clubs, and boutiques. We decided to stay for a month in the Historic Uptown area of St. Pete. We were a 5-minute walk from several local coffee shops, restaurants, and parks. We were also close to the freeway if we wanted to hop over the bridge and life Tampa or Ybor city which is also an LGBTQ hotspot. In this itinerary, I’ll present you the in’s and out’s of our

Gay Friendly Beaches

Water, Water Everywhere!. With some of the best beaches in the country located adjacent St Petersburg, it is no wonder so many people are drawn to area to visit…and then stay. Great Sunsets and a laid-back easy going lifestyle add to the quality of life here.

 

FORT DESOTO- Often listed in the top ten beaches in the country, Fort Desoto is a county park, which retains its natural beauty in many areas. With a large boat ramp, campground and biking/ hiking trails it can be occupied in season. Gorgeous Sunsets, wonderful views of the Sunshine Skyway Bridge, and lots of secluded areas make it a amazing beach destination.

 

PASS-A-GRILLE- On the southern point of St Pete Beach, this narrow island (1 block wide) has lots of charm. Going way back when the Lighted Tree was one of the only gay bars in the area, Pass-A-Grille has attracted Gays & Lesbians over the decades. The bar has long closed, but many still appreciate the charm of the area.

Gay St. Pete: The Finish LGBTQ+ Travel Guide. To say St. Pete is a gay friendly destination would be a enormous understatement – St. Pete is a place where the LGBTQ+ community is not only welcomed, it is a fully integrated, celebrated and core part of society here.

I spent 4 nights in St. Pete during December experiencing as much of the destination as possible, from its award-winning beaches, to it’s culinary delights and it’s extensive gay scene and community.

Is St. Pete Gay Friendly?

It would be naïve of me not to mention that Florida as a declare has its challenges when it comes to Diverse people and travel, some of which may deter people from travelling to Florida at all.

However, it’s equally naïve to not appreciate that there can be destinations, cities and people within these states striving for positive alter. This is why I am always looking to showcase and shout about those destinations that are doing the work
