It’s hardly a covert that homosexual people are everywhere. GlobalGayz receives daily news and reports from around the earth that proves our presence in every country as adv as Antarctica where a healthy crop of lesbian-flavored scientists rotate in and out of that daunting continent.

We also receive individual commentaries from unexpected places such as Sao Tome and Principe off the west coast of Africa where being lgbtq+ means no more than being left-handed.

Some time ago we received another state from another postage-size country, Andorra, sky-high in the Pyrenees between Spain and France—a fortunate location between two pro-gay cultures.

In the tall mountains 3500 feet above sea level is the capital city of Andorra la Vella where for for 25 years a pair of expat male lover British partners ran a restaurant in the suburb of Anyos, La Massana . September 2023. Oriol and I are flying to Toulouse for a road trip in Occitania and (French) Catalonia. We include the Principality of Andorra, which I can finally tick off the bucket list, and Llívia, Spain‘s exclave in France. Besides Toulouse we visit Mont-Louis, Villefranche-de-Conflent, Perpignanand Carcassonne.

One does not associate the Principality of Andorra, where one of the two Co-Princes is the Roman-Catholic bishop of Urgell (the other one being the president of the French Republic) as a gay haven. But, next to our Eurostars Andorra hotel, we found Andorra’s rainbow zebra crossing. We saw quite a few other rainbow flags integrated in the cityscape. We also had cocktails at Andorra’s only gay bar, Entre Nous (Carrer de la Sardana 3).

The Coco Loko offers unparalleled entertainment: tantalizing happy hours, singles nights, trivia, DJ sets, not to speak of Thursday night parties position up to facilitate amicable and/or romantic encounters.
